چکیده

Novel germplasm resources are the key to crop breeding, with their genetic diversity and population structure analysis being highly significant for future faba bean breeding. We genotyped 410 global accessions using 130K targeted next-generation sequencing (TNGS) genotyping platform, resulting in a total of 38,111 high-quality SNP loci by high-standard filtering. found polymorphism information content (PIC) Nei’s gene were 0.0905–0.3750 0.0950–0.5000, averages 0.2471 0.3035, respectively. After evaluating PIC, on basis geographical origin (continent) structure-analysis-inferred subpopulations, we that from Asia (except China) Europe had rich diversity, while those winter sowing area China low. The divided into four subpopulations according clustering based (1972) distance neighbor-joining (NJ) method. However, same subpopulation contained materials different origins, thereby indicating flow or introgression occurred among accessions. Results NJ shared allele indicated three groups dissemination routes. results demonstrated relationships similar ecological environments geographic origins neighboring regions countries closer frequently within group, variation individuals was main source variation.

Genetic diversity of Palestine landraces of faba bean (Vicia faba) based on RAPD markers.

Until now, neither phenotypic nor molecular approaches have been used to characterize the landraces of Palestine faba beans (Vicia faba). We used PCR-based RAPD markers to determine the genetic diversity and relatedness among 26 Palestinian faba bean landraces (traditional farmers' varieties) from 8 localities in the West Bank, Palestine. In tests with 37 primers, 14 generated no polymorphic ba...

Genetic diversity and relationship among faba bean (Vicia faba L.) germplasm entries as revealed by TRAP markers

Target region amplification polymorphism markers were used to assess the genetic diversity and relationship among 151 worldwide collected faba bean (Vicia faba L.) entries (137 accessions maintained at the USDA–ARS, Pullman, WA, 2 commercial varieties and 12 elite cultivars and advanced breeding lines obtained from Link of Georg-August University, Germany). Twelve primer combinations (six sets ...

Genetic diversity in Tunisian populations of faba bean (Vicia faba L.) based on morphological traits and molecular markers.

Genetic diversity within Vicia faba L. is key to the genetic improvement of this important species. In this study, morphological traits and RAPD molecular markers were used to assess the levels of polymorphism across 12 Tunisian populations, three major and nine minor from different locations. Analysis of morphological traits indicated that the three major populations showed significant differe...

Enhancing faba bean (Vicia faba L.) genome resources

Grain legume improvement is currently impeded by a lack of genomic resources. The paucity of genome information for faba bean can be attributed to the intrinsic difficulties of assembling/annotating its giant (~13 Gb) genome. In order to address this challenge, RNA-sequencing analysis was performed on faba bean (cv. Wizard) leaves. Read alignment to the faba bean reference transcriptome identif...
